Mr Anil Kumar qualified in 1990 from Medical College Trivandrum, Kerala State, India. He undertook his post graduate training in trauma and orthopaedics in India from 1991 to 1995. After arriving in UK, he undertook further higher specialist training in trauma and orthopaedics. Mr Anil Kumar became a Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons in 1998 and Intercollegiate Specialty Board in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2006. He received one year advanced Fellowship Training in hip surgery including total hip replacement and revision hip surgery at King’s College Hospital, London. He then undertook further fellowship training in limb reconstruction and spinal surgery at King’s College Hospital London.
Following this, he has done additional year of advanced fellowship training in complex primary and revision hip and knee surgery, including proximal and total femoral replacement, and pelvic and acetabular trauma reconstruction surgery at St. George’s Hospital, London. At King’s College Hospital he takes tertiary referrals of complex cases. Mr Anil Kumar is actively involved in teaching and training of Specialist Registrars and other junior members of the team. He is a faculty of King’s FRCS Orth course.
